We specialise in mantrailing training in SE Wales.
Mantrailing uses the dogs amazing sense of smell to follow and find an individual from a scent article.
While these dogs are used by search and rescue to help find missing people it is a fabulous way to build the relationship you have with your dog and have some fun

She achieved the Skills for Justice Award as a trailing handler with her wirehaired vizsla Billy and since achieving the award, she has helped train many other teams to operational standard and continues to upskill to be involved in future deployments.
She has been an active part of the search and rescue community for a number of years and assists with training their dog team.

Andy is a sport instructor with The British Mantrailing Academy and is active in search and rescue.
Along with his dog Minx, he completed the Skills for Justice Trailing Dog Handler Award through The British Mantrailing Academy, becoming an operational standard team. Andy now continues with regular CPD to maintain this high standard.
He has a career as a professional educator in the UK and spent two years training secondary school teachers in Uganda where he also indulged his mountaineering passion built in Europe and the Himalayas.

Having worked and trained with mantrailing experts from several methodologies, we are fortunate to be able to draw on that to give the most appropriate training for you and your dog. Not all dogs (and people) learn the same way and unlike some, we are not tied to one approach.
To be able to give professional training we only take small groups so we can give personal training, enabling you and your dog to be the best you can be.
We train teams in the same way as we do for search and rescue and believe in honest feedback. However, training should be fun as well as helping you reach your goal.
Introductions are done as part of a workshop, this way you can see how training runs.
